The musical world has long been familiar with the 5
violin concertos up to K. 219; on the other hand, the
Concerto K. 271a cannot be definitively attributed to
Mozart but is dated approximately 1777 and was designated
as the seventh of his violin concertos. Two
copies of it exist, one of which is slightly shorter. This
is an ingenious meeting of the soloist Mirijam Contzen,
who has herself written all the cadenzas for the
concertos, Reinhard Goebel and the bavarian chamber
philharmonic. In this combination of works and
performers, it is therefore an absolute must for lovers
of the violins, and especially for lovers of Mozart.
