on the works of Jewish composers. His new CD contrasts
Franz Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsodies with works of Juliusz Wolfsohn. Wolfsohn was born in in
the Russian Warsaw and died in in New York.
After studying piano and composition in Moscow, he
continued his studies as a pianist in Paris and Vienna.
He emigrated to the USA in . His works focus
exclusively on Jewish music and Yiddish folklore.
