Alexander Schimpf, piano
In the summer of 2011 Alexander Schimpf was the first
German to win one of the world’s most renowned
piano competitions: the Cleveland International
Piano Competition. Since then, especially on the
North American continent, the doors to all concert
halls have been open to him. But he also performs in
Germany quite often – not only solo recitals but also
with such colleagues as Reinhard Goebel, the Armida
Quartet, Christian Tetzlaff, Nils Mönkemeyer and Julian
Steckel.
